Sports Therapy FAQs

Please reach us at beyondthefinishtherapy@outlook.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Sports massage focuses on injury prevention, muscle recovery, and performance enhancement through targeted techniques like deep tissue work, myofascial release, and trigger point therapy. Our standard massage session is 60 minutes, but we also offer 90-minutes.

Frequency depends on your activity level and goals. If recovering from an injury or preparing for an event, we may recommend more frequent visits.

We will start with a brief consultation about your fitness routine, pain points, and recovery goals. The treatment involves hands-on techniques tailored to your needs, with constant feedback encouraged. Some discomfort is normal, but it should never be unbearable.

You may undress to your comfort level, but our therapists are trained to drape you with a sheet or towel to maintain your privacy.

No, anyone with an active lifestyle can gain from sports therapy. Whether you're training for a local 5K or managing workout-related stiffness, recovery techniques can improve flexibility, reduce soreness, and prevent long-term strain.

Pre-event massage (24–48 hours prior) boosts circulation and muscle readiness. Post-event sessions help clear metabolic waste and accelerate recovery. Avoid deep work the day before or after competition.

Yes, consistent sports therapy helps manage repetitive strain, tightness, and overuse injuries by improving tissue quality and joint mobility. It complements other recovery strategies like stretching and proper hydration.
